Katsushige Anryu is a fourth-generation blacksmith in Takefu, Echizen, and one of the founders of Takefu Knife Village. He works mainly in Aogami Super carbon steel, finished in hammered tsuchime or rustic kuro-uchi – hard, long-lasting edges that respond beautifully to the stones. Wipe the blade dry after use.
